Awesome Foundation to host ‘Under 19’s’ gift night at UTC and Studio

Liverpool based Awesome Foundation Liverpool are hosting a special Under 19’s gift night at the UTC and Studio on the 11th February.

“The Awesome Foundation is providing a wonderful opportunity to invest in the creativity of the young people across the city. Here at the Life Sciences UTC we actively encourage and promote our students to think big, take action and change the world!” Ian Parry, head of UTC Life Sciences and Trustee of Awesome Liverpool, tells me.

In February, Awesome Liverpool, will be awarding two prizes of £500 to at least 2 projects from people who are under 19. Applications for the gift night are open until the 31st of January and at least 7 applications will be shortlisted to pitch to the trustees at the school cinema from 5:30 on 11th February. The evening will be an open gift night meaning that anyone can attend to listen to pitches.

Awesome Liverpool is a micro-granting organisation who for the past 5 years have been giving away monthly £500 grants to support ‘creative little ideas that make Liverpool more Awesome’, and part of an international network of chapters around the world.

Previous winners of an Awesome grant include arts projects, new businesses and community projects – including musical shoes, Liverpools youngest entrepreneur (12) and a festival for beards!
