Why study this course?

The Extended Certificate is for learners who are interested in learning about the Enterprise and Entrepreneurship alongside other fields of study with a view to progressing to a wide range of HE courses, not necessarily in Enterprise-related subjects. It is designed to be taken as part of a programme of study that includes other appropriate BTEC Nationals or A Levels.

What can you expect from this course?

The qualification gives learners the knowledge, understanding and skills that underpin the enterprise sector and that will prepare them for further study or training at a higher level.

How is it assessed?

Unit 01 and Unit 07 are assessed by coursework ( 2 assignments each).

Unit 02 and 03 are assessed by external exams

What are the entry requirements?

GCSE: At least 4, graded 8-4 including English and Maths and/or BTEC: BTEC Level 2 Diploma Business at Merit or Distinction Level (or related subject)

What can I do after completing this qualification?

The qualification is recognised by higher education providers as fully meeting admission requirements to many relevant courses in the enterprise sector, as single or joint programmes at degree, Foundation Degree or HND level.
