Do something different this half term, with an unmissable ticket to Operating Theatre Live on October 24.
Operating Theatre Live is heading back to the UTC after its successful visit in May. Giving students a great insight into medical and health-based careers, it’s an award-winning live surgery environment, designed for students between 14 and 18.
The ideal opportunity for budding surgeons, doctors or healthcare professionals, it gives an unrivalled insight into dentistry and medicine, and allows participants to watch a complete human body dissection experience in action. Students can also attend extra emergency sessions to learn about aspects of surgery including trauma, amputation, anaesthetics and infection control.
As the UK’s only live, travelling experience, the dissection of real specimens gives students an incredible surgical insight that will leave them stretched, challenged and inspired. It brings academic content to life as an interactive experience – the likes of which most students would receive only at university level and beyond.
Designed specifically for students working towards the main exam specifications at GCSE, National 5, Higher, Advanced Higher and A Level, it is accessible, hands-on and tailored.
Lunch and refreshments during the day are included in the ticket price – to find out more, or to book tickets online, click here…
