UTC A-level results 2020

Congratulations to all our students on AMAZING A Level results!

This is usually the day we can tell prospective students and their families about the incredible results and amazing destinations our current students have secured as a result of their hard work and their time with us.

Today is not the sort of results day we’re used to. It’s a bit more difficult, watching as the exam system faces the challenge of a year without exams.

Whilst it looks like it may well be, we can’t currently say that these are our best results ever, or talk with certainty about our percentage of students achieving top grades in each subject.

But we know about some of the incredible destinations our young people have been able to secure. For example:

1. Adult nursing degree at Manchester Metropolitan University

2. Medicine degree at Cardiff University

3. Biological sciences degree at University of Liverpool

4. Mechanical engineering degree at Liverpool John Moores University

5. Computer science degree at the University of York

Rose, Jessica and Tasnim have received amazing A Level results in Healthcare. Rose is going to study Adult Nursing at the University of Birmingham, Jessica is going to study Nursing and Paramedic Science at Edge Hill University and Tasnim is going to study Children’s Nursing at Edge Hill.

Principal Jill Davies says: “I can tell you that our teacher assessed grades were devised using precise assessment data, rigorous application of the process and indicate to us that our year on year improvements are still marching forward at pace.”

“Nonetheless, 100% of our young people have been able to move on to their next step,” says principal, Jill Davies, ” predominantly in careers that are clearly essential to the health and wealth of our local community and economy.

“Our staff team has done a huge amount of work to make sure every year 13 student has had the information they need, the support they need, and the advice and guidance to secure a brilliant next step in a shifting system.

“I am beyond proud of our students and our staff and their responses to this difficult and stressful time.”
