As part of the A level coursework requirement, last Tuesday we spent the day In Llandudno making beach measurements, finding out about the rocks on the Great Orme, and looking at the urban environment of Llandudno.
We managed to climb the Great Orme, in weather which was a little wet and windy, stopping on the way to visit the bronze age copper mines, and also finding some 250 million year old fossils in the limestones. Even though we didn’t collect as much primary data as we wanted due to a bit of weather, we spent some time on the pebble beach, collecting data for a project about longshore drift. Then we did find some nice places to sit and get warm again!
